Where we are located:
We are located approximately 5 miles from the I-20 Exit (Exit 68) in Pelahatchie, MS. See the map below for exactly where we are related to you! We are about 10 minutes from Brandon and about the same distance from Morton.
What makes us different?
Lots of things make us different than the typical daycare or home childcare.... but here are just a few things!
(1) I keep children 24/7 because most parents do NOT just work day shift or evening shift and most daycares and home child care centers ONLY watch children during the day hours on the weekdays.
(2) I offer sibling discounts and monthly up front discounts for people who get paid once a month and want to save some money
(3) I offer a preschool curriculum as well as learning activities for ALL ages. Even BABIES can learn!
(4) I offer sign language for babies. The #1 cause of frustration in children under the age of 18 months is the inabilty to VERBALIZE their needs. Their brain knows what they are trying to say but can't form the language just yet. Also, teaching sign language to babies is proven to INCREASE their verbal skills
(5) I offer a music program as well as exercise program. All children should be exposed to music and exercise as early as possible.
(6) I offer a private facebook page for parents ONLY who can check in via their phone or computer to see pictures of their child and other important information. The parents are welcome to download the high resolution images and print them at their convenience. At the end of the month, I provide each parent a CD at the end of the month with those images as well, just in case they don't have internet access.
(7) I offer mom's (or dad's) morning out and overnight drop in options.
(8) I don't allow the children to watch TV all day. Generally they get to watch 1 or 2 thirty minute programs (if they are here all day long) and they are carefully chosen for educational value and content. If weather permits, there will likely be NO TV watching at ALL.
(11) I provide ALL food (and snacks) as well as baby wipes and baby food. I don't know of any other provider that offers EVERYTHING. The only thing you have to bring are diapers and formula. I do offer a payment option that, for your convenience, includes diapers AND formula. Payment for those have to be UP FRONT but the charge is the SAME as YOU would pay for them if you were to purchase them separately. Receipts are provided if I buy formula and diapers.
(12) I offer the ABCMOUSE.COM program (out of my own pocket) for all children 2 and up. I also frequently send printables home (free of charge) and provide links to different printables we are working on here, on this website under the "Printables" page.
(13) I provide care for SPECIAL NEEDS children. This includes children with developmental delays, physical limitations (such as feeding tubes) and I perform Dr. ordered physical and occupational home therapies. I also watch children with other physical limitations. If I do not have children in my care, I will also sit with your child or baby at the hospital while you work or take a break. Charges for that are negotiable and depend on age and length of stay. I've been a parent sitting at a bedside, afraid to leave my child just to go take a shower. Hospital sitting is a minimum of a 4 hour stay due to gas prices and drive time.
(14) I provide field trips, whenever possible to local places such as the Zoo, Children's museum, etc. I also have safe outside play items and lots of space, both inside and out.
